Duggan's Discussions

The children are busy learning about community helpers and the community where they live.  We will be learning the letters Jj, Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz, and Uu in the coming weeks.  We are looking forward to our class trip to the Staten Island Museum, where we will learn about dinosaurs.  The children are looking forward to planting and growing their own seeds.  Please continue to read to your child and help them practice their sight words.  The children are  having fun reading their books in their book baggies to you!  Enjoy the lovely weather.

The children are busy learning about money and time. We will be learning the following letters in the coming weeks:Hh,Ll,Gg,and Ee.   We have been learning about characters, setting main idea, sequencing, realism and fantasy. The children have been learning about nutrition, growing and changing, butterflies and caterpillars. Our next trip will be March 28, 2012. School will be closed April 6-15. Please remember to read with your child every night.
