Bar Graphs

Hello Boys and Girls,

  Today we are going to collect data using tally charts.  Tally charts allow us to keep track of the information we collect by groups of 5.  This allows us to count what we surveyed quickly.  When we finish we are going to convert our survey onto a bar graph so we can observe the information we collected.  Bar graphs make it easy for the eye to see information. 

 

Now that we finished collecting our data let’s look at the bar graph.  What do you notics?

Winter Break Homework

Dear boys and girls,

  Have a wonderful and safe winter vacation!  School reopens January 3, 2012.  I am sending you home with two new workbooks.  You have Finish Line Reading and Finish Line Math.  You must do the following pages in your workbooks.  The pages that I gave was taught in class and this is a review so you do not forget what we learned.

1.  Finish Line Math pages  7-10, 17-20, 21-26, 27-30, 31-36, 37-44

2. Finish Line Reading pages 6-11, 12-19, 20-27, 28-35, 36-43.

Homework

1.  Study for math exam tomorrow.  It will be on chapter 1.  Use the math review sheet that you did in class. 

2.  Boom Town exam.  Study Vocabulary words on page 14 in your reading streets textbook.  boom, pick, fetched, skillet, coins, spell, business, laundry, and mending.  Make sure you know the definition. 

3. Wear assembly clothing for tomorrow.  White top and dark pants.
